About this scan
What it showsఈ స్కాన్ దేని కోసం
Small electrical pulses are given through the skin and the response is recorded further along the nerve. From that, the speed and strength of conduction is calculated.
Doctors order it for numbness or tingling in the hands or feet, suspected carpal tunnel syndrome, weakness, and nerve damage from long-standing diabetes.
The pulses feel like a brief tap or a jolt. It is uncomfortable for a moment but not painful, and there is no lasting effect. Priced at ₹6,000 for both upper limbs or both lower limbs.

Why get it done hereఇక్కడ ఎందుకు చేయించుకోవాలి
- Come with no oil on the arms or legs
- Coconut oil or cream sits between the electrode and the skin, and the response recorded comes back smaller and noisier than the nerve really is. A weak response reads as a damaged nerve. Wash the limbs with soap and skip the oil that morning.
- A cold hand behaves like a slow nerve
- Conduction speed falls by roughly two metres per second for each degree the limb cools, which is enough to turn a normal median nerve into a mild carpal tunnel on paper. If you have come in cold on a two-wheeler, the limb is warmed before the recording starts.
- It is a tap, not a needle in the muscle
- The stimulus is a brief electrical pulse given through a surface electrode, and most people call it a tap or a small jolt. It runs 30 to 45 minutes because each nerve is tested at more than one point along its length, on both limbs.
- The tests that go with it are in the building
- A slow nerve in a diabetic patient is not always the diabetes. Low B12 does the same thing and is treatable, so vitamin B12 at ₹1000 and HbA1c at ₹500 are usually worth running alongside, both here, without a second trip.
- ₹6000 covers both limbs, not one
- The rate is for both upper limbs or both lower limbs, with the several nerves tested in each, and it is not charged per nerve or per side. No separate charge for the report or for sending it to your WhatsApp. The price list is public.
