Follicular tracking runs over several visits within the same cycle, and this is the charge for one of them. The radiologist records the size of the follicles in each ovary and the thickness of the endometrium on that day, so the figures can be set beside the readings from the other visits. The day of the cycle is noted along with the measurement.

Doctors order it for repeat monitoring during a follicular study, when a further reading is wanted a day or two after the previous scan.
