KUB stands for kidneys, ureters and bladder. It is the standard first scan when someone has loin pain, blood in the urine, or repeated urinary infections, and it picks up most stones.
Our price includes PVR — post-void residual — which measures how much urine stays behind after you pass it. Come with a full bladder.
Our consultant nephrologist sees kidney patients at the clinic, including for dialysis and transplant follow-up.

- You are scanned again after passing urine
- The post-void residual is part of this study. We scan with the bladder full, send you to the toilet, and scan again to measure what is left behind. A bladder still holding 100 or 200 ml after voiding explains a good deal of night-time urination and repeat infections.
- The first scan for loin pain or blood in urine
- This is where the work-up usually starts. It picks up most stones and shows whether the kidney is swollen behind a blockage, with no injection and no radiation. A stone sitting midway down the ureter can hide from ultrasound, and a CT is the next step when the pain does not fit the scan.
- Repeat infections need the bladder checked
- When infections keep returning, the question is whether urine is being held back or a stone is sitting there feeding them. The scan and the urine culture at ₹600 are both done here, so the two answers reach you together rather than a fortnight apart.
- A kidney doctor consults in this building
- A dilated kidney, or 200 ml of residual urine, needs someone to decide what happens next. A nephrologist is among our consultants, and a creatinine at ₹300 can be added to the same visit so he has it in front of him.
- ₹1200, and the PVR is part of it
- The KUB ultrasound is ₹1200 and the post-void residual is included in that, not billed as a second study. The report reaches your WhatsApp once it is signed, at no extra charge. Prices for everything else we run are on the price list.
