What this test checksఈ పరీక్ష దేని కోసం
A CBC counts the cells in your blood — red cells, white cells and platelets.
Doctors order it for fever, weakness, anaemia, infection, unexplained bruising, or as part of a routine checkup. It is usually the first test ordered when someone feels unwell without an obvious cause.

2. Your sample is taken — 2 ml blood, lavender edta tube.
3. Your report comes to your WhatsApp once the pathologist signs it, same day.

- The sample is run, not sent away
- Your tube stays in this building. Many collection centres draw blood and courier it to a city lab, which is why a "same day" CBC often turns into tomorrow. Ours goes to the analyser down the corridor.
- A low count is looked at, not just printed
- When a count falls outside the range, the analyser's picture is checked by eye under a microscope before the report is signed. Machines miscount clumped platelets and flag infections they cannot name — that is what the smear is for.
- Timing is part of the result
- A CBC left sitting changes: cells swell, platelets clump, and the numbers drift. Ours are loaded within the hour, in the correctly filled EDTA tube.
- If it is abnormal, a doctor is upstairs
- A low haemoglobin or a high white count usually needs a next step, not a second opinion by WhatsApp. Our paediatrician, gynaecologist and nephrologist see patients in this building.
